Station 84 handled 2 tree down incidents Wednesday afternoon. The first on WPA Road, followed by a call to Rt 219 Northbound.
Engine 841 responded to a single family residence shortly after 9AM for a fire alarm. Upon arrival there were no conditions and FD personnel met with the resident.
As 84 personnel were returning from Rt 219, they were added to an alarm with Station 82 on a child locked in a vehicle. Our units were cancelled prior to arrival and placed into service.

J-bar
A stiff, j-shaped tool for reaching an inside door handle.
Jack-knifing
Jargon for position of articulated aerial ladder such that tractor is at an angle to the trailer; provides improved stability when ladder is hoisted, rotated and extended.
Jaws of Life
A Hurst tool. See hydraulic spreader.
Jet siphon
A venturi appliance used for moving large amounts of water from one reservoir tank to another by pumping a small amount of pressurized water into the jet to create a vacuum to move larger amounts of water.
