About our Company

The Adams Township Volunteer Fire Co#2-St Michael is located in south central Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The All-Volunteer Department serves the citizens of Adams Township and parts of Croyle Township. The Fire Company was organized in 1953, to provide Fire Protection to the citizens in Adams and Croyle Townships. Early protection was provided by the local mining company placing hand carts throughout the communities. Today, the department's fleet include a Heavy Rescue, Two Engines, One squad unit, a Brush Unit, a multi purpose Utility Unit, and an Officer Command Unit. The Fire Company has numerous State of Pennsylvania Certified Firefighter I and II firefighters. Our primary coverage area includes many residential communities, several state route roadways, US Highway Rt 219, the home of the Johnstown Flood National Memorial, the main campus of the Forest Hills School District, and several warehousing and manufacturing facilities. Alongside our Department, the Adams Township Volunteer Fire Co# 1-Dunlo (Station 82), also provides fire protection in Adams Township. Our firefighters are active in the Volunteer Fireman's Association of Cambria County & Vicinity, numerous fire prevention activities, and other community projects that keep the fireman involved and busy throughout the year. We have an active Ladies Auxiliary that support the activities of the Department, and our successful fund raisers include Lenten Fish Fries, Cash Bonanza's and the Labor Day Festival.
